Kingston launched A New 256GB Flash Drive
Kingston Technology,Europe has launched the world’s first 256GB USB flash drive, the Data Traveler 300 and Data Traveller 200. Data Traveller 200 was launched earlier by the company, which is a 128 GB flash drive and it has a wide range of uses. The new 256 GB Data Traveller 300 USB flash drive can store about 256GB of data in one instance. The cost of Data Traveler is about $900 which is pretty costly and it is useless for now. The Data Traveler 300 enables the users to carry a large volume of data with them no matter wherever they go, this is equal to carrying up to 365 CDs in one instance. But this flash drive is manufactured only based on orders. The persons who wish to buy this product, can place the order to the retailers. The following are the features of the 256 GB Flash Drive:
1. Capacity: 256 GB
2. Speed: Data transfer rates of up to 20 MB/sec read and 10 MB/sec write
3. Includes Password Traveler security software for Windows
4. Does not require administrator rights to access the privacy zone
5. Dimensions: 2.78″ x 0.67″ x 0.87″ (70.68 mm x 16.90 mm x 21.99 mm)
6. Operating temperature: 0 to 60 degree Celsius
7. Storage temperature: -20 to 85 degree Celsius
8. Enhanced for Windows Ready Boost on Vista based systems.
The Kingston’s new flash drive reads at a speed up to 20MB per second and transfer rate is up to 20MB per second. It measures about 2.78″ x 0.88″ x 0.65″. The Kingston flash drive has a enough capacity to hold the data equivalent of 10 Blue Ray discs, 54 DVDs or 365 CDs. The 256GB Kingston Data Traveler 300 was first available in Europe. But no idea, when will it be available in U.S , but I expect the price to be cheaper when it is available in U.S.
sounds good
but its tooo expensive
ya, you are right it’s too expensive but cost of a blue ray disc is also expensive when compared to the flash drive
