Windows has now come out with its new versuion of operating system, before launching the original version it has introduced it’s beta version. This beta version is similar to the original version, the main reason for introducing this is to gain feed back and comments from it’s users so as to get a idea to finish it’s built. Installing Windows 7 beta 1 is much faster and simpler than installing Windows Vista or Windows XP on a system.There are fewer steps to work through, the installation is overall much faster than for earlier Microsoft operating systems and there are fewer obstacles between the user and the OS once it’s installed.

New taskbar

The new taskbar is visually looking good and interesting and it is much easier to use at higher screen resolutions that the Vista or XP taskbar. Since,the apps that are running and shortcuts that have been pinned together in the taskbar it has become hard to recognize the difference between them. The new Jump Lists feature acts as a context sensitive menu for applications.

Aero Snap

The simple little feature,which is used by everyone all the time is the Aero Snap. The method used here for organizing Windows is the gestures driven of method. The window is dragged to the top of the screen and maximize the apps. Drag it to the side and you get it to tile to one half of the screen. Drag the app away from the top of the screen to restore it. This feature is really a handy feature for people who work with multiple applications.

Aero Peek

Aero Peek is the feature, by which the desktop can be seen without minimizing all the running applications. Mouse over the small area on the right-hand side of the taskbar, gives you a glimpse of what is present on your desktop, which allows you to see the shortcuts and gadgets. The use of Aero Peek is limited, as you can’t interact with anything on the desktop because as soon as you move the mouse off the Peek spot the applications all return.

Personalizations

Windows can be customized based on the your taste and style. Windows 7 comes with several ready made themes that includes specific background images, colors, sounds and screensavers, there are also themes that make use of a desktop slide show to continually change the desktop image.

Microsoft is about to launch a new operating system called as Windows 7 propably in the middle of year 2010. Before the launch of full version of Windows 7, Microsoft has provided a testing or Beta software called Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) for testing purpose. You can install Windows 7 RC and enjoy the new features. The RC was available atleast through July 2009 and will expire on 1st June 2010. Starting on 1st March 2010, your system(pc) will begin shutting down every 2 hours. Windows will notify your 2 weeks before the bi-hourly shutdowns start. To avoid interruption, you’ll need to install a non-expired version of Windows before 1st March 2010.The system requirements and the special features of Windows 7 are mentioned below and this information about Windows 7 is just a preliminary and it is subject to change.

System Requirements:
1. 1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
2. 1 GB RAM (32-bit) / 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
3. 16 GB available disk space (32-bit) / 20 GB (64-bit)
