I bought the Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop about 6 months back. The Dell Laptop is available in different vibrant colors like pink, white, yellow, orange, green and red. My Laptop is Pink in color. I ordered my Laptop from the Dell Showroom. The service there is also excellent. I received my laptop within one week as promised. You have various features and options to choose from and I chose some features I like. I love working on my laptop. My Laptop has the genuine Windows Vista Home Premium. I guess the Windows Vista Home Basic is reported to have some problems. My Laptop also has 160 GB HDD and 2 GB Memory Space. It has an inbuilt Webcam that is simply awesome and good inbuilt speakers. They give you a 30 day free trial of McAfee internet security. My laptop also has Bluetooth and memory card reader and wireless feature.I got Ear buds and the carrying case is also very nice. Dell also provides you one year manufacturer’s warranty. Incase you have any issue, Dell sends a service person directly to your home. Once I had a small issue with connecting to the internet and I called Dell for some queries. The Dell customer service is also very good. They are really helpful and patient. Initially I just has issues with IE 7 but later I downloaded IE 8 and its cool. Battery is good but at times I feel I need to charge my laptop for long hours and I started noticing it recently. You can do so many things on your laptop, be it work related or fun related. Dell Laptop’s are so stylish and mine is sleek and stylish with great performance.

If you decide to buy a new PC, my advice is never buy Intel Atom Brand CPU and Motherboard when you are buying any assembled PC. Though it is very cheaper, it is not worth and Intel do not provide any warranty for it. It’s ok to buy them with laptops or other Devices, but not meant for assembled PC. Intel Atom comes with prebuilt CPU and Intel 945 Chipset Motherboard. If you go to buy any Intel Motherboard alone its priced higher than combined Atom CPU and Motherboard. Only any Intel Motherboard costs more than other Motherboards. This tells why Intel will avoid replacement of motherboard and CPU as cost of selling this only cover their making charges and giving warranty is and replacements for faulty products is not possible.

I like to share my experince with you regarding faulty Atom Motherboard which was purchased by me a 3 months ago. Due to some reason I purchased it, In the middle of May 2009 it stopped working and I thought it may be Power supply (SMPS) problem and checked it, When I tested it with new SMPS it worked ok. I sent SMPS in warranty and when it came back, I again tried with new SMPS. This time it did not boot. I sent a complain to Intel as it is covered under 3 years warranty But they refused to accept as they say it is affected with moisture and rusted and warranty will not cover it due to there policy. I argued with them, telling that “have I poured water inside my CPU”. But I use other PCs for more than 10 years in my place and no boards get rusted due to this humidity.The boards i sent previously to Intel never got any excuses like this from them. This shows that Intel has produced this Atom CPU AND Motherboard only to sell it one time and they will not provide any warranty on it and they will deny warranty, what ever the reason may be.It’s better to go for Dual Core or Core 2 Duo, even Celeron works Good.

A new notebook has been introduced by Lenovo called the IdeaPad Y650 notebook which is a slim noteook. It has a light Weight around 2.55 kg, the LCD screen is about 16-inch wide. Over a past few years, Google Enterprise Search offerings had a steady growth in its strength and innovation.In a report, taken in june ,Google finds that there are about 25,000 customers using enterprise search,this is more than the last year’s count which had around 20,000 customers.This gives us the conclusion that,more than half of the customers use Google’s search appliance and the other half of them users use only its hosted sites search and other enterprise products.Recently,Google has upgraded the enterprise search appliance (which is also known as GSA) ,by improving its scalability,which allows businesses to search billions of documents.Last week, Google has added two new tools for Google Enterprise Search.One is the Side by Side search comparison and another one is the, New connectors for the GSA,which are available in Google Enterprise Labs,which is  moreover similar to Gmail Labs.The employees, can test and rate results from two different queries on the same data,using Side by Side search,so that they can find out which gives a better result.The preferred results can be voted by the employees by clicking any one of the results,this information helps the administrator to choose the right search solution and set the search solution for the business.This feature seems to be very useful for the administrators,who are trying constantly to make internal search capabilities more effective.Another new tool, offered by Google helps the businesses to connect to different types of online and offline data,for search functionality.The updated connector can be used to search across content management systems of the enterprise.A connector specifically for salesforce data is provided by google ,so that internal sales force data can be included by GSA in search results.

I came to know  about this recently that,Yahoo is asking the  Firefox users to switch to Internet Explorer 8,saying that it is a new and  safer browser and they also added that, the users would get a  better experience when they use Internet Explorer 8 than using Firefox,but I don’t know exactly, from when this had started occurring.This may be a fresh and direct result of the recent Yahoo and Microsoft love fest.Ironically,a year ago, when Microsof failed a acquisition attempt, Yahoo gave a recommendation to its users on its very front page, advising the users of  Internet Explorer to switch to Firefox 3, which is more faster and safer browser than Internet Explorer.The fact is, browsers recommended by Yahoo are purely based on the latest business alliances,as Micheal said “The Safest Browser For Yahoo is The One Who Pays Him The Most”. My idea is, Yahoo can develop their own browser and market them, so that ,they can get rid of such confusions.

Gmail being the third largest Web mail service in U.S ,as come out of beta. In a  report, taken in the end of july, has said that, Gmail had 37 million unique vistors this month compared to AOL which had only around 36.4 million visitors,then coming to Windows Hotmail which had around 47 million unique visitors and a wide gap comes separating Yahoo mail with its 106 million monthly unique visitors.The  is shown above in which the orange line represents Gmail.When i checked the Gmail’s progress at the beginning of this year,I thought that it would take more time around two years  for Gmail to catch up the race and get through its nearest rivals.But Gmail’s unique visitors has increased  upto to 25 percent so far this year,While there is a 22 percent declination for AOL.So,Gmail crossed its path in July. Inspite, Hotmail visitors increased only upto 8 percent,While Yahoo Mail has increased its unique visitors by 16 percent. I think Gmail will quickly cross the path of Hotmail if Google keep’s on adding new enhancenments through Gmail labs and increasing the mail storage capacity instead of allocating only 7,358 megabytes for a user, As i heared many of the users are running out of storage capacity. But don’t make them pay for more storage.
