Adobe this morning announced that third-party developers now have access to the Photoshop.com Mobile for Android 1.1 editor, allowing them to make it a part of their applications.

The news comes four months after the company released Photoshop.com Mobile for Android, enabling users to easily edit and share their photos. That app got an upgrade, too.

Amusingly, Adobe also takes a bit of a swing at Apple for not being able to provide such tools to iPhone app developers. Said Doug Mack, vice president and general manager of Digital Imaging and Rich Media Solutions at Adobe:

“Unlike iPhone, the Android platform allows us to make the Photoshop.com editor broadly available to developers so they can provide it within any application they are working on. Photoshop functionality can then easily be accessed from an online auction, real estate or social media application so users can quickly fix photos and make them look their best, before being showcased.”

The updated version of Photoshop.com Mobile for Android 1.1 brings effects like Vibrant (to boost photo colors) and Pop, which brings a ‘pop art’ style to images. The Soft Black and White, and Warm Vintage tools can be used to add a classic and aged effect to photos. Other new effects include Vignette Blur, White Glow and Rainbow.

Adobe Photoshop.com Mobile for Android 1.1 is available as a free download in all countries with Android Market in English only. Search the Android Market for “photoshop.com” to find it.

When I was younger I used to drink beer with friends. Every Friday afternoon we use to convene in our favorite hangout and we order food first to fill our stomach before ordering drinks. Our favorite was beer and we use to conceal the beer in a pitcher by sealing the pitcher with a tissue paper. That way, it was not obvious that we were drinking beer. One day I saw in the net about the german beer boot. I don’t think I can drink beer from this german beer drinking boot but on second thought I guess it is fun to drink beer from this boot container. We are almost done with the home repair. Soon I’ll need home lighting to lighten our little humble place once we move. I want to get the cheap one with quality house lights stuff to match our place. At first I don’t know where to get those but a friend of mine called me last night and gave me the details because in the coming few days I’ll be buying those home lighting staff. It seems I need more than 5 lovely designs excluding for our terrace. So wish me luck guys not to give me hard times finding the one I like because I have no more time to shop preparing our things for the very awaiting moment which is to move.

As Apple goes on the offensive against Android, it risks alienating more and more developers. Today, another prominent developer chose the opposing side. Tim Bray, the well-known software architect and blogger, is joining Google to help rally even more developers around the Android mobile operating system.

Bray is the co-inventor of the XML Web standard, and most recently worked at Sun Microsystems. In a blog post, he explains that he is drawn to Google in part because he hates the iPhone, or at least its closed and controlling environment from a developer’s perspective.

The iPhone vision of the mobile Internet’s future omits controversy, sex, and freedom, but includes strict limits on who can know what and who can say what. It’s a sterile Disney-fied walled garden surrounded by sharp-toothed lawyers. The people who create the apps serve at the landlord’s pleasure and fear his anger.

He also notes that Android is catching up to the iPhone in terms of sales:

As of now, they’re selling around 90K iPhones per day compared to around 60K Android handsets. It’s a horse race!

In February, Google noted partners are selling 60,000 Android handsets a day, and Apple sold 8.7 million iPhones last quarter, or about 97,000 a day. Android is making steady gains in market share.

Bray’s decision to throw his hat into the Android ring is just the latest example of a growing backlash among developers to Apple’s autocratic ways. Facebook developer Joe Hewitt famously quit the iPhone over similar issues. Apple cannot afford to alienate developers because, given the choice, they will shift their attention and their apps to other platforms.

I just mentioned our hunting hobbies, but one that I am trying to so hard to get up and going in is snow skiing and snow boarding. Our boys of course believe that Snow Boarding is cool and want to do it so bad. We took them up last year and were told that you should start with skiing first! Well, that did not go too far and we got the kids on the snowboards.We’ve got about another month of winter, so we still have time to enjoy snow boarding. So, yesterday I was searching throug the web about Spyder clothing.
